Zoom in on the flowers and have your F/Stop wide open to keep the subject sharp and the background out of focus.

I refer to the above technique as 'shooting on the edge of light.'
It is usually my favorite challenge. Not always doable, but when done correctly the effect is more like 3d even though you are viewing a 2 dimensional image.Technique:
